Holiday card photo sesh at home

It’s been a busy month and I just realized that I haven’t even started my annual family Christmas card.  So a rainy day off from school feels like the perfect time for a home photo session.

Luckily, I have the perfect little subjects (except for one minor crying outburst when someone “forgot how to smile”).  So, all I really need to worry about is their outfits and a cute backdrop.  I’d rather go to one of our favorite playgrounds or parks – but the weather isn’t cooperating – so I had to improvise.

The props –

Since Target is my home away from home, I grabbed some cute things earlier in the week that could double as props and holiday decorations.

The outfits –

A classic look for a boy who is most comfortable in jerseys and sweats

Sueded half-zip (J.Crew Factory) | Blue plaid button down (Ralph Lauren – similar) |    Gray chinos (J.Crew Factory)

A little sparkle, some fun texture and rich colors are perfect for a holiday look

Green studded cardigan (Target) | Pink turtleneck (Gymboree) | Purple quilted puffer skirt (J.Crew) | Pink bow (Etsy)

With these two, “Joy” says it all!

Now, I just need to narrow down some favorite pictures and cards from Tiny Prints and place my order.  Happy Holidays!!
